Kenmure Parish Church of Scotland in Bishopbriggs is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic 1 and committed praise leader. We are seeking someone who will become part of our
worshipping fellowship and use music to encourage us in our worship. The worship of God is central to the life of Kenmure church and we are keen to encourage the congregation to
encounter God when we worship Him together, through hearing His word, through prayer and through a blend of traditional and contemporary praise songs.
Purpose of the role: to facilitate congregational worship by leading praise music during weekly Sunday morning services.

We are keen to appoint someone who has a strong Christian faith and is passionate about worshipping God through music. This person would be willing to help us develop our vision
for worship services, finding new and different ways to encourage people to encounter God.
We also seek someone who can discern people’s gifts and support them in becoming more involved in our gathered times of worship.

Main activities
1. Take part in discussions about how we can develop our times of worship assist the minister (or worship leader) in planning and selecting praise songs each week; encourage worship in our First Sunday Club and occasionally at Girls’ Brigade where requested.

2. In conjunction with minister/worship leader check/create PowerPoint presentation for upcoming Sunday morning worship, liaising with braille team and tech team as necessary.

3. Lead praise at Sunday morning services.

4. Coordinate and organise music at specific times in the Christian year (e.g. a Christmas choir, Easter songs for use in both church and in outreach activities).

5. Take turn at leading (monthly) praise night with other musicians or alone, i.e. selecting songs, creating PowerPoint etc.

6. Rehearse and deliver worship with current musicians and singers and encourage the gifts of others in the congregation, enabling them to be part of leading the worship.

7. Proactively keep up to date with new Christian worship music have a basic understanding of audio-visual matters and liaise with the volunteer technical team.

8. Arrange cover for periods of absence.
