His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor of Guernsey seeks to appoint a Dean of Guernsey.

The Dean of Guernsey is the senior Anglican Priest in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, with spiritual, pastoral, administrative and representational responsibilities across the Deanery, which includes Alderney, Sark and Herm.

The role involves parish ministry, pastoral oversight of clergy, governance responsibilities and engagement with civic, ecumenical and diocesan life, as well as a strategic overview of mission within this unique setting.

The office of Dean is a Crown appointment, made on the recommendation of the Bishop of Salisbury who has full episcopal jurisdiction in the Channel Islands.

The islands are attached to, but are not part of, the Diocese of Salisbury.
