Church of The Good Shepherd
An exciting opportunity to lead and develop ministry with children, young people and families in a growing church in South Hampshire. (Two part-time roles of 15 hours each, or a combined 30-hour role)
The Church of the Good Shepherd, Crookhorn is a thriving and welcoming charismatic Anglican church with a strong heart for its local community. We are deeply committed to nurturing faith in the next generation and already have well-established children’s and youth ministries, with significant potential for further growth and development.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person (or two people) to help build positive relationships with children, young people and families, encouraging the growth of faith and supporting the development of character and community.
The Role
This post may be appointed as:
- Children & Families Co-ordinator – 15 hours per week, focusing on ministry with younger children and their families, or
- Youth Co-ordinator – 15 hours per week, focusing on ministry with young people, or
- A combined Children, Youth & Families Co-ordinator role – 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities will include supporting existing ministries, and developing new ministries, encouraging participation, and helping young people and families explore and grow in Christian faith.
Hours
- 15 hours per role, or 30 hours combined
- Working hours will include Sunday mornings and some evening activities, with flexibility across the week.
Salary
- £13-£15 per hour (£25,350 – 29,250 full-time equivalent)
- Plus agreed ministry expenses.
Start Date
Subject to negotiation.
