The Benefice of Wells St Cuthbert and Wookey Hole is seeking a priest for two churches in the beautiful Mendip Hills area of Somerset, in and close by the historic city of Wells. We hope that our new priest will combine a warm pastoral presence, thoughtful discipleship and imaginative leadership and help us to:
- Keep growing as welcoming and inclusive churches, nurturing our current congregations
- Engage with the local community, focusing on children, families and schools
- Develop our pastoral work through being approachable, responsive and visible in church and community
- Encourage a culture of learning, prayer and spiritual growth
- Care for our church buildings and heritage
