The Finance Department is responsible for provision of wide-ranging financial services and advice for the Representative Body and other provincial bodies. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance team as a Trainee Finance Assistant. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in finance within the not-for-profit sector.
Essential
- A keen interest in developing a career in finance.
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
Desirable
- Some experience in an office or administrative role
- An understanding of basic finance or bookkeeping principles
- Commitment to studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT)
- Experience of using SharePoint as a file repository system
- An empathy with the mission and ministry of the Church in Wales
Salary: Grade B (£25,058)
Contract: Permanent
Reporting to: Financial Controller
Hours of Work: Full time (34.75 hours per week)
