Spiritual Advisor

Hope into Action UK

We are seeking a person of prayer. Someone who will provide a Holy-Spirit reliant spiritual perspective ranging from an organisational level to city teams and individual staff. You would help staff on pastoral and work issues, challenges and troubles and pray into them, thus equipping them for their work, building their resilience and spiritual development. You would also feedback regularly to the Executive on key themes and spiritual insights. You would offer strategic spiritual input and contribute to prayer events.

About you

You would be non-judgemental, open and honest with experience of working with churches in spiritual leadership. You would have a heart for our values, with sensitivity and compassion towards the disinherited. With an outstanding ability to communicate, both on an individual level and a large and diverse audience. You would be invigorated through working with others and be able to give guidance to our vision. You will take a pastoral, empowering and facilitative approach to your work with a sensitivity to a range of Christian spiritualities and denominational approaches.

About us

We provide not just shelter and housing know-how, but also the friendship of a church. Together with over 70 churches, we provide direct support to people whom others have often given up on. Our first home had a real heart for men coming out of prison. Homes are now available for a wide range of people experiencing homelessness: people in recovery from addiction, people sleeping rough, women and children fleeing domestic violence, people coming out of rehab, former prostitutes, refugees, those suffering mental health issues and survivors of human trafficking.

We are now partnering with churches across the country. We encourage others to use our model by franchising the idea. Our vision is for every church to lovingly provide the homeless with a home. The tragedy of homelessness is in every community. We believe that with our help, every church can do something about it.

Location: Preferably Peterborough with regular visits to Cambridge, Nottingham and Norwich offices

Closing date: Thursday 3rd July 2025 @ 5 PM
