Racial Justice Admin & Research Officer

Are you passionate about Racial Justice? Are you experienced in high level administration, and supporting projects to achieve success? Do you want to help make a positive difference in the church and wider community?  The Racial Justice Admin & Research Officer will be joining the Diocese of Sheffield at an exciting time in supporting our Racial Justice Officer in helping us grow in our strategy for Racial Justice.

We have some intercultural worshipping communities in our Diocese and we’d love to see more of them!  You will support our 3-year project from the direction of the Racial Justice Officer in ‘Turning the Map Diverse’ which is funded by the Racial Justice Unit and collaborate with various stakeholders including our Resourcing Mission and Ministry Team to achieve project outcomes.

You should be educated to A-level or equivalent. You will be able to build effective working relationships with all manner of people and with some understanding of current racial justice, social action and inclusion issues.

  • Part time 17.5 hours per week
  • Three-year fixed term contract with potential for renewal
  • Salary £25,000 FTE (£12, 500 per annum part-time)
  • 10% employer contribution to pension
  • Generous holiday entitlement
  • Based at Diocesan Church House in Rotherham with some hybrid working from home
