We have enthusiastic, loving and caring church families and would welcome a new incumbent who has the skills to:

• provide strong leadership to both churches to achieve a successful unification of Christ Church and St Michael and All Angels as a benefice;
• maintain and further develop the welcoming feel of our churches, in a way that will encourage new members, and values the contribution of lay people;
• introduce new missional initiatives aimed at growing the new benefice both in discipleship and in number of worshippers;
• create pastoral teams which can enhance and strengthen the support we offer to our church families and community in the name of Jesus Christ.

We are seeking a vicar who has: 

• the wisdom and ability to manage change well as we seek to develop a vision for our new benefice that enables growth;
• enthusiasm, energy and a genuine desire to communicate and connect joyfully with people of all ages and backgrounds;
• excellent listening skills, is approachable, empathetic, with a sense of humour, who can enthuse others with the joy of serving God;
• a heart for mission, able to promote outreach in our communities, particularly with children, young people and their families;
• a clear and compassionate style of leadership, which seeks consensus and can calmly resolve issues of conflict, where they arise;
• a passion for pastoral ministry, willing to develop strong pastoral teams, to enhance the spiritual care and support we offer to those in need
