St Barnabas, Bath are seeking a Pioneering Vicar. We are a faithful community working together, growing as disciples, seeking to fulfil the Diocesan vision of “Living and telling the story of Jesus” in our parish.

The Magnificat Parish comprises of the three districts of Southdown, Whiteway and Kingsway and we are situated on the southern edge of Bath, close to the beautiful countryside.

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Lead us in identifying and using our strengths, mission and ministry;
  • Inspire us to be imaginative and courageous in offering fresh ways of connecting with God across the Parish while also acknowledging our diverse worship traditions;
  • Encourage us in serving the pastoral and spiritual needs of all ages in our communities, including children and young people;
  • Enjoy taking an active visible part in the life of our communities and inspire and enable the Church to be the heart of those communities;
  • Be a caring link across our communities especially with schools, local events and groups.
  • Develop our worship to deepen our faith;
