Edinburgh Pentlands Parish Church is looking for a part-time Pastoral Care Development Worker to visit and support elderly members of our congregation. This post will suit someone with enthusiasm and initiative who is looking for part-time employment working with elderly people in a Church context.

Edinburgh Pentlands is a suburban parish in the South-West of Edinburgh. The parish was formed in 2024 by the Union of the previous Colinton and Juniper Green parishes.

The activities of the Pastoral Care Development Worker will include home visits, visits to Care Homes, and activities in a Church context such as morning or afternoon teas for groups of elderly people.

This is a permanent post starting from a mutually agreed starting date in the autumn of 2025. The post is part-time, 18 hours per week. The weekly working pattern is negotiable. The salary will be £14000 per annum (£27222 pro-rata).
