To work closely with the Minister to offer pastoral care across the congregation and parish

• You will work in developing and nurturing relationships of trust with congregational members enabling provision of effective pastoral care
• Carry out visitation of members in Care Homes/Nursing Homes/ Housebound/Hospital
• Follow up on bereavement visits, possible conducting of funerals
• Liaising with district elders and small groups of pastoral visitors to ensure that appropriate support is offered.
• Evaluate, develop and carry out appropriate training of pastoral needs e.g. bereavement support, to elders and members providing pastoral support
• Identify and make recommendations on what activities the church might
  organise for housebound members.
• The role holder may occasionally support worship alongside volunteers/clergy/elders (eg Soul Space).
