Church of Scotland

As we enter our time of vacancy Tullibody St Serf’s Church, Clackmannanshire, in the Presbytery of Perth, is looking for a locum minister. The initial appointment will be for six months, followed by potential extensions by mutually agreeable periods. Duties will include
two days per week of pastoral care and leading Sunday morning worship.

Tullibody St Serf’s is an active and forward-looking congregation (membership c300, communion roll 260, regular attendance 50-60) with a focus on preaching the Gospel and outreach to the community in our village of some 9,000 people to the west of Alloa. Our Sunday morning services are traditional in style, using the New International Bible, CH4 and Mission Praise for organ-led singing and a small but keen children’s group. There is also a Sunday evening service which is more informal, with music from our Praise Band.

We have a number of mid-week activities, including an on-line mid-week service, Prayer Group and Bible Study. These, and some of our evening services, are currently led by our Worship Group and other members of the congregation.

We seek a to employ a locum minister from July 2024 onwards, initially for a period of six months, to provide two days per week of pastoral care and to lead our weekly Sunday morning worship. Pulpit supply will be available for three Sundays in the first six months.
