The people of The Seven Churches Benefice need a priest who will help us to maintain and grow our presence across this Benefice. Each village is different some working with young families, others with older congregations – some with both! Each place has its own gifts and way of connecting with its wider community but we all want to be part of a “thriving rural Benefice whose Christian values and actions contribute to and engage the communities they serve”

We want to ‘Grow the Christian presence in the Seven Churches Benefice, reaching out to meet the spiritual needs of all who live in our community.

To do this…
We need a collaborative Priest who can work with all ages by:

•    Offering good pastoral care and communicating well.
•    Organising and delegating
•    Developing others gifts.
•    Working collaboratively alongside our Ministry team, Wardens and Congregations.
•    Being visible and known in the benefice with a sense of humour.

The Parishes commit to work with their Priest to achieve the vision by :

•    Taking responsibility for the fabric of the buildings
•    Giving practical and emotional support and assistance
•    Assisting in administrative tasks such as meeting organisation including lay chairs for PCC
•    Churchwardens meeting regularly to arrange cross Benefice co-ordination and mutual support
•    Having a unity of purpose without presenting a uniformity in how we all do things
•    Being ‘eyes and ears’ in each parish.
•    Communicating and working with each other and you.
•    Having the confidence to take on more responsibility.
•    Being welcoming, friendly and not too demanding!
