We are seeking to employ a finance officer (AAT level 3 or higher) as part of our Resources team to support the life and work of the United Reformed Church in the Eastern Synod.
The employer would be the United Reformed Church (Eastern Province) Trust is a registered charity that acts as a Property Holding Trustee for church property and investments of churches within the Eastern Synod of The United Reformed Church. The Eastern Synod encompasses Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and parts of Hertfordshire. It is a Christian organisation that acts as an umbrella or resource body and makes grants to individuals and organisations.

Accountabilities
a. The administrative line manager is the Synod Clerk.
b. indirectly accountable to the Synod through the Synod Resources Committee. On Trust matters, the Property Officer is accountable to the Directors of the United Reformed Church (Eastern Province) Trust.
c. Professional support is received from the Synod Treasurer and retained accountant and auditor.
d. works closely with the Property officer in areas of overlap between property and finance.
e. works in conjunction with the Resources assistant, whose role is to support the Finance officer and the Property officer.
f. To work, as required, with and as an integral part of the Synod team including office staff and other Synod Officers wherever there are mutual benefits for the wider Synod.
