Director of Music

Scottish Episcopal Church

The church is known for its high standard of liturgical and musical worship within the Anglo-Catholic tradition of the Scottish Episcopal Church. The choir—one of the finest non-professional ensembles in the city—sings a wide-ranging repertoire from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary works. Music plays a central role in the liturgical life of the church, with the Director of Music working closely with the Rector to plan and lead music for the weekly High Mass (Sundays at 10:30 am), major feasts, and occasional evening services.

The post will suit a musician with artistic sensitivity, professional focus, and a desire to maintain and develop a well-established tradition of excellence in church music.

Salary is in line with RSCM London rates, commensurate with experience.
