Vicar of Witley

  • Clergy
  • Witley

Diocese of Guildford

Witley sits in the heart of the Surrey Hills, with the village school and pub a stone’s throw from the church.  It is a lively and diverse community with a wide variety of needs and abilities.
We are praying for a new vicar who will share our dedication and love for Church and community:
  • who can build on our strengths and help us to develop new ones, guiding, leading and inspiring us to fulfil God’s purpose here
  • who will continue our core traditional worship but also reach out to meet and develop a range of spiritual needs in the village
  • who has vision and imagination, is grounded, approachable and people focused, able to relate to all, particularly children and families.
We can offer:
  • a supportive ministry team
  • a Parish Administrator and well-equipped parish office
  • a Director of Music and strong musical tradition with wide-ranging styles
  • a wonderful parish environment in which to be and belong.
Please see the Parish Profile below for full details.  If you would like to have an informal conversation please contact the Archdeacon of Surrey at catharine.mabuza@cofeguildford.org.uk
We believe that diversity is a strength.  We actively welcome and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds and identities, particularly those who identify as female, younger, of a UK Minority Ethnic/Global Majority Heritage, or disabled, as it’s essential that we reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.
