The Diocese of Derby has an exciting full-time opportunity [initially, 2yrs, ftc] for someone who can offer specialist front-line assistance to a focused group of local churches, in the care of building fabric and the advancement of the use of buildings in community engagement and diversification of purpose.
Working in a supportive team you will bring your professional skills to offer direct support and advice on building fabric matters. You will support grants distribution, aid in identifying additional funds and resources, and support community capacity building with local church leaders.
You will have worked professional knowledge of historic buildings management, fundraising and community engagement with enhanced skills in at least one of those areas. We need a team player who loves people as much as buildings and can help local communities to think creatively and imaginatively about their built assets whilst managing to keep their feet on the ground.
