Funded by the National Church we are recruiting to this new role to encourage and support mission planning and implementation in our parishes, and the development of our Area Mission Plan including preparation of our mission funding bid to the National Church.

Our missional culture has deep foundations in the Diocesan Travelling Well Together vision –enabling and empowering parishes and worshipping communities to discern how they are to be God’s people in their own very different local contexts and as part of one diocesan family.

You will be working closely with the Bishop of Bradwell as part of the core Area Team alongside the Archdeacons of Chelmsford and Southend.

This will be an employed role on terms equivalent to stipend and housing with flexibility to accommodate a split between this role and parish ministry. It is a fixed term post initially for 36 months.
