Diocese of Rochester

Christ Church, Oxford, as Patron, and the Bishop of Rochester seek to appoint a  Vicar for the Parish of St Peter’s Pembury

Could God be calling you to lead an inclusive, welcoming, single parish Benefice at the heart of a thriving Kent village where worship, community and service shape daily life?

Pembury is a village of just over 6,000 people on the edge of the High Weald, three miles from Tunbridge Wells. St Peter’s Pembury is seeking a new Vicar as we continue to grow in worship, service and discipleship.

We are a broad, liberal and inclusive parish, living out the Gospel through worship, hospitality and service at the heart of our community.

We are seeking a Vicar who will:

  • embrace and champion our identity as a broad, liberal, liturgical and inclusive parish;
  • nurture and inspire us through preaching, worship and a deep love of the Eucharist
  • share Christ’s love through visible pastoral ministry and care;
  • encourage discipleship and help us grow our ministry with children, young people and families;
  • work collaboratively with lay leaders and the congregation to strengthen fellowship and shape our future together
  • be a recognised and valued presence in the village, building on our strong relationships with schools, community organisations and neighbouring churches.
