The recently created benefice of Longbarrow is very much a lively, active and delightful group of six parishes, with good lay leadership and deep community roots. After a long vacancy during which closer collaboration, a shared worship pattern and community events have been developed, we are now looking for a creative, energised and experienced leader to take us forward.
There are huge opportunities here, families work is developing, our churches are lively community hubs and the diocese has just purchased a wonderful house in Pimperne, so the vicarage can be in the middle of the benefice.
If you like engaging with all ages, are passionate about growing communities of faith, and enjoy the countryside and rural life on the edge of a growing town we would love to hear from you. In turn we can offer much support, a commitment to a worshipping life and our partnership for mission in new ways across the villages and into the local schools.
