Church Partnerships Manager

As a Church Partnerships Manager (Republic of Ireland), you will play a key role in growing Compassion UK’s impact by building strong, meaningful relationships with churches across your region. Through engaging and inspiring presentations, you will connect church leaders and congregations with our mission to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.
With a focus on sponsorship growth and fundraising, you will work closely with our Events, Engagement, and Philanthropy teams to maximise opportunities and deepen partnerships.

  • Maximise the number of child sponsorships from within your designated area from churches and local events.
  • Work collaboratively across Compassion UK to effectively meet objectives.
  • Actively maintain and promote Compassion UK’s Christian ethos and values.

  • Strong networking skills, with a proven ability to build meaningful relationships within church and Christian event contexts.
  • A deep understanding of church leaders, with empathy for the Church and its leadership.
  • Confidence in public speaking, including experience speaking or preaching in church settings.
  • Sales or fundraising experience, with a track record of lead generation, relationship management, and achieving acquisition targets.
  • Self-motivation and strong time management, with the ability to work independently and effectively manage a varied workload.
  • Solid administrative and IT skills, with fluency in English and proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office.
  • Personal commitment to the Christian faith, as there is an occupational requirement for the role holder to be a practising Christian, helping to promote Compassion’s ethos and support others in exploring and expressing the faith-based motivation of our work.
Working pattern and additional requirements: 
  • A high level of flexibility, including extensive travel and availability to work some weekends, with approximately 24 church services or events each year.
  • A full driving license with a car available to use for work (mileage expenses paid).
It would be beneficial (although not mandatory) to possess:
  • To have used a CRM or similar system.
  • Experience managing/ supporting volunteers.

Location, hours and key dates

Home-based role within the Republic of Ireland (frequent travel within the Republic of Ireland, along with occasional overseas travel).

Hours
Full-time | 35 hours per week over a flexible working pattern with an estimated 24 weekend activities per annum.
