Creative Development Manager

As the Creative Development Manager, you will play a key role in collaborating across Fusion’s teams to help develop, incubate and refine creative campaigns, ideas, and projects. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and relevance of Fusion outputs align with our organisational mission and tone of voice. You will require the ability to think creatively and analytically in working between teams and across plans in order to identify challenges and propose creative solutions in the delivery and development of a variety of projects. This role requires a deep understanding of Fusion’s mission, purposes and voice, the ability to work well with others and a desire to understand key trends and external factors which impact the outworking of Fusion.

Our mission

In this role, you will contribute to Fusion’s charitable purpose by:

  • Connecting students into the heart of the local church and connecting churches into the heart of student mission.
  • Catalysing confidence within the church for student evangelism.
  • Calling the church to be wide awake to the opportunity the student mission field presents to make disciples of all nations

Key Responsibilities

Resource creation and communication (50%)

  • Working with others to help develop, write and edit print and digital resources that communicate Fusion’s vision compellingly and creatively.
  • Help identify and create new resources as required, which are relevant to Fusion, working across teams to develop these.
  • Maximise the effectiveness and reach of existing resources by creating other content around them and ensuring effective usage.
  • As part of the communications team, work to ensure consistent, compelling storytelling across all platforms, proactively identifying and maximising new opportunities and platforms for this.

Creative Strategy, Innovation and Research (20%)

  • Identify emerging needs, opportunities and trends in student mission and the wider context, developing creative responses to these.
  • Lead the curation and development of a new online hub platform.
  • Implement and oversee key creative development processes – generating ideas, gathering feedback, and refining outputs, in addition to strengthening feedback cycles in resource development, coaching output and Fusion events and projects.
  • Act as a key voice for Fusion in research and development, identifying and proposing new research and creative contributions, in addition to networking with other organisations and thought leaders to ensure Fusion’s voice is culturally relevant and prophetically sharp.

Cross-team Development (20%)

  • Supporting cross-team functions, including membership of Funding Streams team and other major projects.
  • Actively work as an internal consultant and thought partner across teams, helping them ideate and develop creative approaches to their own projects and challenges.
  • Contribute ideas and content to help train wider team in the development and delivery of new content and resources, including internal and external content.

Support Raising – MPD (10%)

  • Raise 50% of salary through MPD (Ministry Partnership Development)
  • Communicate regularly with ministry partners including prayer points
  • Equip your ministry partners to pray, advocate and champion student mission through your partnership with them
  • Extend ongoing invitations to new people to join your MPD team
  • Allocate 10% of your time to maintaining partner support

Desirable

  • A good knowledge of UK church culture and diversity
  • Knowledge and/or experience of UK student mission landscape
  • Experience and/or confidence in sales
  • A valid full driving license
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Experience speaking in a church context

Hours: 3-5 days, depending on the applicant

Location: Bristol, London, Loughborough, York, Manchester

Salary: £28,500.00 to £30,500.00
