Schools & Youth Worker

Phase

This is a rare, hands-on role for someone who wants to stand in the gap for young people. Not with big speeches, but with steady presence, practical support, and real relationship.

You’ll be part of a shared team across Phase Hitchin and Christchurch Hitchin, working with one joined-up vision. Helping young people thrive across school, church, and community. Two organisations, one purpose, and a role that lets you see the whole picture.

No two days will look the same. One day you’ll be delivering wellbeing and resilience sessions in schools. The next you’ll be building trust with young people through after-school work or youth groups. You’ll help create safe spaces where young people can talk honestly, grow in confidence, and explore faith in a way that feels real and welcoming.

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • connects naturally with young people and adults
  • brings warmth, initiative, and consistency
  • can work flexibly (including evenings and occasional Sundays)
  • wants to grow their skills with good support, training and a strong team around them

If you’re looking for a job with purpose, variety, and a chance to make a deep, lasting difference in one community, this could be your next step.
