Finance Administrator

Hope into Action UK

We are looking for aptitude as much as skills. Join our fantastic and supportive team and we’d love to see you flourish, grow and we are prepared to train you. It is a varied role working in many aspects of Finance, with some IT and Operations tasks too. There will be plenty of opportunity to see how this award-winning charity works and engages with a variety of people.

We seek a self-motivated, natural administrator. You will be someone who likes systems, order and numbers. You will have a passion for our work and for tenants, staff, churches and mission. We employ people of hope where humility, a genuine desire to love and serve others, and strength of character are as important as any job description. This is reflected in our six core values: strength, hope, action, love, listening and mutuality.

What does the role involve?

You will support and guide many of our staff team. We always take the path of empowering others, and for you this will be in providing accurate tenant accounts, uploading bills promptly for approval, creating BACS runs, bank reconciliations and credit control.  We have recently implemented some exciting new bespoke software for our whole network, for which your support will be invaluable. You will also have a clear handle on our tenant arrears, aged receivables and provide great reports to our team leaders to empower them to take timely action.

Could you be Hope into Action UK’s Finance Administrator?

You will enjoy supporting others in their work and will also be comfortable working independently on updating tenant payment data. You understand that excellent back-office support enables excellent frontline work to enable the church to house those experiencing homelessness.

We value diversity and recognise that a diverse team will help us raise our performance in empowering those we serve. We are interested in your individual skills, strengths, knowledge and experience. Please tell us if there are any adjustments we can make to assist you in your application. Interviews will take place in person at Hope Centre, 26 North Street, Peterborough, but can be arranged by video call.

Closing date: Friday 26th September 2025 @ 12pm

Salary: £12,493 per annum (£24,986 FTE)
